Last night (26th February) Labour councillors exploited a procedural trick to shut down the Liberal Democrats’ Extraordinary Meeting on housing, where they were set to hold a confidence motion in Southwark Labour’s leadership.
The Southwark Liberal Democrats have uncovered more findings of maladministration handled by the Housing Ombudsman, ahead of crunch confidence vote over housing, taking place the 26th February.
Southwark is the 7th most complained about council for damp and mould, the industry magazine PropertyWire has reported.
A Freedom of Information request has revealed that Southwark Council spent at least £10,000 to launch its “Southwark 2030” strategy, equivalent to over £100 per person attending.
The Southwark Liberal Democrats have unveiled their alternative budget proposals for 2025, promising to invest in care, community safety, the cost of living, and frontline council services.
