Liberal Democrats have long supported a two state solution to end the conflict between Israel and Palestine. We are proud that our party was amongst the first to call for a ceasefire, and that we continue to be a strong voice for peace in the region.

In Southwark, we have been clear – Jewish residents are safe and welcome here, in our shared home. We deeply value our Jewish communities and will continue to work to ensure that their voices are heard. Southwark Liberal Democrats have condemned the motion which passed at the National Green Party Conference, and have received assurances that our Green colleagues locally were just as saddened by this policy. Our focus is on delivering for the people of Southwark and getting on with delivering the change we have promised. Our Joint Administration is committed to delivering for all residents of our incredibly diverse borough to ensure a home that is affordable, safe, and green.
