Under Andy Burnham’s Labour Government, Southwark is facing a £102 million financial black hole over the next three years.

Burnham calls it “rebalancing”, shifting money and power away from London.

In reality, some of London’s poorest communities are being asked to pay the price.

That could mean even greater pressure on the services we all rely on: housing and social care, cleaner streets, safer neighbourhoods and vital local support.

Southwark deserves a fair deal.

That’s why the Liberal Democrats have launched a borough-wide petition calling on the Government to stop the cuts and protect Southwark’s services.
