The Liberal Democrats run Southwark Council. Our commitment to improving our area can be found in our manifesto 'It's About You', which you can see by clicking on the image on the right. But we don't just sit in the Town Hall. Southwark Lib Dems pride ourselves on being out on the streets, campaigning for improvements to our area.

Lib Dems pledge early delivery of cross river tram Tue 22nd Apr 2008 Cllr Caroline Pidgeon, Lib Dem GLA candidate for Lambeth & Southwark, today joined mayoral candidate Brian Paddick, Camden & Barnet GLA candidate Nick Russell, Simon Hughes MP, the leaders of Southwark and Camden councils, Cllr Nick Stanton and Cllr Keith Moffit, and Lib Dem supporters on Waterloo Bridge to show their commitment to the early delivery of the Cross River Tram.

Caroline Pidgeon backs new local business at the Elephant Mon 14th Apr 2008 Cllr Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat GLA candidate for Lambeth & Southwark today celebrated the opening of a new flower stall at the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre.

Southwark Lib Dems join Tibet protest Mon 7th Apr 2008 Southwark Liberal Democrats joined protestors at City Hall on Sunday as the Olympic torch passed through the borough to register their protest about the Chinese government's occupation of Tibet and their record on human rights.
