On Thursday 26 November, at 8pm, Southwark Liberal Democrats will hold our 2020 Annual General Meeting.
This is your chance to get involved in how the local party is run and put yourself forward for a role in our executive.
Over the past year the team you elected in November 2019 as your party executive have been busy:
— keeping the party operations running through the testing times of the pandemic
— and, above all, planning for the future: preparing for next year’s London elections and for future local campaigns, working with Southwark’s LibDems councillors — who have continued to do all that they can to help residents during exceptionally difficult time
Once a month, the executive get together — on Zoom of course at the moment — to discuss ideas, sort out practical problems and plan ahead.
There is a range of roles and ways to join in and help. So if you would like to take part, please put yourself forward.
But the AGM isn’t just about electing people to jobs. It’s also a chance to hear about what we have already been doing and our plans for the year ahead — from our local party chair, James Barber, and the leader of our councillors, Nick Johnson.
Further details about how to join the AGM — which will be on Zoom — and give your views and cast your votes will follow over the next few days.
