Last night, Liberal Democrat Europe Spokesperson, Nick Clegg, joined over 200 Liberal Democrats members and supporters at the world famous Imperial War Museum to take part in a fascinating discussion on the future of Britain in Europe.
The evening, which saw an inspirational and passionate speech from the Sheffield MP on Brexit, provided the opportunity for Southwark residents to ask thought-provoking questions on Britain’s position in Europe.
Sitting alongside Simon Hughes, optimism and engagement were the key messages of the night as the packed room heard from the former leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Councillor Anood Al-Samerai, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Opposition in Southwark, said:
