Arnold Estate residents trapped due to late night economy

Bermondsey is thriving! With new businesses, pop up shops, markets, food and drink production, bars, clubs and restaurants - what an amazing place to be or visit. A fantastic history with a renewed interest from the public means that we are now a destination rather than just a tube station. But this is not how everyone is experiencing the new world both day and night...

Cllr Humaira Ali has been working with the Arnold Estate TRA on a project to give residents a voice and the opportunity to co-design their neighbourhood with businesses and the council.

Update on transport and environment

I am extremely pleased that our ward is now represented by three Liberal Democrat councillors. My congratulations to Humaira Ali and William Houngbo who have been elected for the first time. Together we will proudly represent all residents of the new London Bridge and West Bermondsey ward (sorry about the long name - it wasn't us that picked it)!
The ward is a busy part of Southwark and Humaira, William and I have not been holding back in assisting with a number of issues that have surfaced.

First 3 months

Your London Bridge and West Bermondsey councillors have spent their first 3 months in office meeting heads of tenants and residents associations, running surgeries to address constituent issues, door knocking to survey residents about noise and antisocial behaviour issues and continuing to campaign for better transport in the area.
