In Dulwich Wood our priorities are:
We focus on improving council homes in Dulwich Wood and Southwark not knocking them down.
Instead of imposing changes on you, we listen to what you want. This can be funded by £4m of budget savings, smarter housing revenue management and increased taxes on the 5,000 empty homes in Southwark. We also see the need to reform Southwark Council’s planning processes and procedures to make them truly accessible to all.
We protect the many, not the few.
Knife-crime and hate-crime are up. Moped-enabled crime has doubled in London, with over two reported incidents every single day in Southwark last year. We campaign to keep one of the last police bases in South London open on Kingswood Estate.
Greener Fairer Transport
We need safer, greener, transport solutions.
We want improved, safer cycling through our beautiful hilly ward (such as on Dulwich Wood Park – 15 incidents too many already). For those that can’t cycle, and with a lack of public transport and more cuts to our bus services, cars are a necessity for some. We want to make sure residents have somewhere to park. In 2018, for those that can afford an electric car we really need to provide more chargers. Electric vehicles are a big part of a modern Green Infrastructure; Southwark has just 20 chargers, Hammersmith has 130. We need to change this!
